ERA Sunrise Realty, a long-established brokerage led by James David Moody, and ERA Foster and Bond, led by experienced broker, Rusty Willis, announced the successful completion of their strategic merger. The unified company significantly expands its service footprint, strengthens its leadership team, and enhances support resources for real estate professionals across Georgia, positioning it as a dominant force in the regional market.
The merger brings together two highly respected ERA brokerages, combining decades of experience and complementary business cultures. The move was driven by a commitment to growth opportunities for the parent company, ERA Georgia Real Estate Evaluation Services Incorporated, and a shared dedication to agent success.
Leadership and Vision
James David Moody, who founded Sunrise Realty in 1991 and joined the ERA network in 1994, will continue to drive the company’s vision, emphasizing strong leadership and agent development.
“Agents today are hungry for leadership—someone to help them become the best version of themselves,” said Moody. “That’s what we do here. This merger is about adding collective support, resources, and ability to serve our agents, who will be the greatest beneficiaries of this partnership.”
Rusty Willis, licensed since 1995 and an experienced leader with over 25 years in management, joins the executive team. Willis, a certified trainer with leadership roles in the Georgia Association of Realtors, highlighted the cultural alignment as a key factor.
“David’s style and Sunrise’s culture felt like a natural fit. Our strengths complement each other—where one may have a weakness, the other excels,” said Willis. “What matters most is the quality of the broker owners and their values, and this partnership is built on the strongest of those foundations.”
The combined entity now oversees multiple branches and a team of 130 agents, up from Willis’s previous single office of 40 agents. The leaders’ joint commitment is reflected in their statement: “We’re better together.”
